If you are a follower of my Facebook page www.facebook.com/KissandMakeupwithMe then you will know that I regularly share with my followers some quick and easy beauty tips and tricks. This page is a collection of those posts in one convenient little place. Enjoy and I hope you find them useful xxx
- Pop your eye cream in the fridge overnight for some added refreshment when you apply it the next morning. This works so well to revive tired eyes and help reduce under-eye bags. I especially love doing this with eye gels
- Have you got a foundation that you love so much but you feel it is a little bit too full coverage for your skin for during the day??? Well here is a great little tip that will help you create a flawless, fresh, dewy face without having to buy a new foundation.Firstly cleanse and tone your skin and apply serum (if this is part of your skincare routine). Next take a clean foundation brush and dab some of your fav moisturiser on your face and use the clean brush to work the product into the skin. Then, using the same brush (do not clean the brush) apply your foundation to your entire face, or the areas where you feel you need to even out the skintone. This will help to sheer out the foundation and create that dewy look that we are going for! To keep that fresh faced look only apply powder to the areas where you get oily (usually the T Zone for most of us). You may have noticed we skipped using a primer here but if you are extra oily I would suggest using a matifying moisturiser in place of a primer as we dont want to pack the skin with too many products!

- To get the most out of your foundation make sure you apply it to fresh, well moisturised skin. Exfoliating and using a rich moisturiser a couple of times a week will ensure that your skin is as smooth as it can be. Try this and you will notice a beautiful glow off your skin and also your makeup will go on effortlessly and look amazing....such a simple tip but it really is one of the best!
- Apply Vaseline to your front teeth to avoid the lipstick or lipgloss getting onto them and showing up on photos. This will also give your teeth a lovely shine and make them appear whiter in the photos.
- If you are having trouble blending your blush it is more than likely the wrong shade for you. To calm the colour down apply some face powder over the area and blend in well.
- Applying shimmer is a great way to make your look even more glam. Follow these simple steps to get that oh so perfect glow. Apply a cream or powder highlighter over foundation on the top of ur cheek bones, under ur brow and down the centre of ur nose. Set with powder and repeat but this time with a powder highlighter. Apply shimmer oil or cream down the back of ur legs, across ur shoulders and along the front of ur arms to elongate ur body. And finally apply iridescent powder to the test duct of ur eye to open your eyes.
- For those brushes that you use thick and oily makeup such as lipsticks or gel eyeliner a great way to remove all of the product from the brush is to soak the bristles of the brush in olive oil for approx 5-10mins. This will loosen the product. To finish wash the brush under warm water with baby shampoo or brush shampoo.
- How and where to apply bronzer: Gently swirl the brush over the bronzer and tap off any excess powder. Work the powder onto areas of the face where the sun naturally falls. These areas are across the forehead near the hairline, the temples, across the apples of the cheeks and bridge of the nose.To elongate your neck and help hide any double chin we may have sweep some color beneath the jaw line, down the front of the neck and also your collarbone and decolletage.
- A golden rule to remember when trying to create a flawless face is never put cream products over powder. Apply all your cream products first for example primer, concealers, foundation, cream highlighters, cream blush etc and then set with pressed or loose powder and then apply your powder products such as powder blush, bronzer etc. Applying the products in this way will make the products last longer and also allow you to blend the cream products better.
- A great tip for doing your makeup is if you are using very dark colours or you are using eyeshadows and pigments that fall down alot do your eye makeup before the rest of your makeup and clean it if off with a wipe before applying foundations and concealers. This way you don't have to too careful and you can enjoy doing your eyes a little crazy!!!
